How to prime your Aqua Bare Carbon Filters

You’re on your way to creating pure, clean water from your tap or any fresh water source. But don’t forget to prime your filters! Follow these easy steps and you’ll be ready to filter 6,000 gallons of fresh drinking water.

Using the Priming Bottle

1. Remove all plastic wrapping from the filters.
2. Fill the priming bottle with fresh water.
3. Place filter over sink and squeeze the water in the bottle through the top until water starts to bubble out the sides of the filter. You may need to repeat this a few times to make sure that the outside of the filter is fully saturated with water from the priming bottle.
4. Run a full tank of water through your AQUA BARE filtration system and discard before consuming the water.

Using Water Faucet Pressure

1. Remove all plastic wrapping from the filters.
2. Unscrew the wingnut from the top of the filter and remove the washers.
3. Place the washers around the tip of the filter and place tightly under the faucet.
4. Run water through the tip of the filter until the water starts to bubble out the sides of the filter, making sure that the outside of the filter is fully saturated with water from the faucet.
5. Run a full tank of water through your AQUA BARE filtration system and discard before consuming the water.
